A Dolce & Gabbana advertising poster is being auctioned in New York this week and is estimated to sell for $500 to $750. It is one of the works being offered at Swann Galleries (104 East 25th Street) "Modernist Posters" auction on May 10. The photo was shot by Mariano Vivanco for D&G's "Campioni Del Mondo" ad campaign that appeared after Italy beat France to win the World Cup in 2006. The photo features Italian soccer stars: (L-R) Andrea Pirlo, Gianluca Zambrotta, Gennaro Gattuso, Fabio Cannavaro and Manuele Blasi. Ok, but is it worth $500? We'll let you know on Friday and, in the meantime, we're not throwing anything away.
